For the first time, Ombion Center for Animal-free Biomedical Translation and AZAR Innovations organize an Organ-on-chip MasterClass in co-operation with ICAT Innovation Center for Advanced Therapies and hDMT Institute for human organ and Disease Model Technologies.
Target group:
Biomedical scientists from academia and industry from around the world who wish to get started or gain more experience with organ on a chip systems.

This MasterClass consists of:
1. On-demand interactive e-learning (1.5 month online access)
Engaging sessions with presentations, quizzes and group assignments about:

- Experiment:
- Do I need perfusion?
- Which flow system to choose?

2. Hands-on lab training (3x, each 1/2 day)

- Chips & Cells:
- Seed cells in different chip types
- Learn tips & tricks of seeding cells in different chips
- Change medium inside chips
- Chips & Flow:
- Connect the chips to 5 different perfusion systems
- Run perfusion systems
- Refreshing, sampling and microscopy with perfusion systems
- Common troubleshooting
- Commercial systems:
- Work with commercial chips or enabling technologies
- Design your system using commercial systems
