General Terms and Conditions Organ on a chip MasterClass
Individual Participants
Organ on a chip MasterClasses are designed to the needs of participants and meticulously planned well in advance.
These terms and conditions are applied on any agreement with AZAR Innovations.
Before registering for the MasterClass, it is important to have read these conditions. By registering you agree to these terms and conditions.
1: Acceptance of terms and conditions
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all offers and agreements of participants and clients regarding the Organ on a chip MasterClass.
1.2 An agreement with regards to following the MasterClass comes about by submitting an application form by participant and providing proof of registration by AZAR Innovations.
1.3 Registration via the AZAR Innovations website (www.azar-innovations.com) is only for individual participants and not company representatives. Individual participants are not allowed to promote any company during the MasterClass. Promotion includes but is not limited to handing out company flyers, hand-outs, sample chips. In the event of company promotion by a participant, AZAR Innovations has the right to remove the person(s) from the MasterClass and refuse their participation in subsequent MasterClasses. The participant(s) will not receive their money back.
2: Registrations
2.1 The MasterClass is held subject to sufficient registrations.
2.2 AZAR Innovations reserves the right to change the location when necessary.
2.3 After registration, you will receive an (electronic) application receipt by e-mail that makes your registration pending approval. Your registration is final after approval and upon receiving an approval confirmation email. Registration takes place in order of receipt of the applications.
2.4 Only a certain number of seats are available per MasterClass. As soon as the MasterClass is sold out, you can still register and will go on the waiting list for the next workshops.
2.5 Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] to reserve a spot in the future workshops. Put in the subject of your e-mail ‘reserve list MasterClass’. Please state your full name and telephone number. If a seat becomes vacant, we will contact you as soon as possible.
3: Cancellation by the participant
3.1 Unsubscribing must be done via e-mail.
3.2 In the event of cancellation by participant, € 50,00 registration costs will be deducted.
3.3 Cancellation for a workshop:
If you cancel up to 1 month (30 days) before the date of the MasterClass, you will receive the full amount, minus the registration costs. In the event of cancellation between 30 to 14 days before the start date, 50% of the participation fee will be charged. In case of cancellation within 14 days before the start date, 100% of the participation fee will be charged. If you do not show up for the MasterClass, no money will be refunded.
3.4 If you are not able to attend the MasterClass, you are welcome to arrange a replacement yourself. Participation confirmation is transferable. In such an event, you must notify AZAR Innovations via email no later than 2 days before the MasterClass.
4: Cancellation/relocation by AZAR Innovations
4.1 AZAR Innovations reserves the right to cancel the offered MasterClass if there are insufficient participants. If the MasterClass does not take place or is postponed, you will receive notice, at the latest, 14 days before the start of the MasterClass.
4.2 AZAR Innovations reserves the right to change the date of the MasterClass no later than 2 weeks before the starting date. The participants are informed by e-mail and can move / cancel the MasterClass free of charge.
4.3 AZAR Innovations reserves the right in case of illness of the teacher to replace it with another teacher or to cancel the MasterClass. In such an event, the registration will either be moved, without charge, to another date or cancelled and fully refunded.
4.4 The MasterClass only takes place if there are at least 16 participants. The workshop cannot go through with fewer participants.
5: Payment
5.1 The participant must pay the entire amount upon registration by one of the payment methods.
6: Complaints
6.1 If you have a complaint about the MasterClass, you can contact AZAR Innovations and AZAR Innovations will do its best to try to solve the problem.
6.2 The submission of a complaint does not release the participant from the payment obligation or entitle them to any refund.
7: Liability
7.1 AZAR Innovations accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to property of participants, nor any liability as a result of events during the MasterClass.
7.2 During the MasterClass there is a chance the participant will work with materials that can stain on clothing or items. AZAR Innovations is not liable for contaminated or damaged properties and will not compensate any damage. We will provide the participants with lab coats to decrease the chance of any damage to clothing.
8: Secrecy
8.1 All the materials and additional documentation in the MasterClass provided by AZAR Innovations or any other party, except Companies’ brochures, are protected by copyright and may not be copied or otherwise reproduced, published, and/or redistributed. Making image recordings of (part of) the MasterClass is not permitted.
8.2 Participants undertake to observe secrecy towards third parties of all information they receive from fellow participants during the meeting and of which the course participants must understand the confidential nature.
9: Other
9.1 AZAR Innovations always reserves the right to change the MasterClass in terms of content and/or to change prices.
9.2 Accessibility of the location is determined by Host institute. It is the responsibility of each participant to research available options and communicate with the Host institute or AZAR Innovations if required.
9.3 All participants must always adhere to the social code of conduct of AZAR Innovations and Host institute. In the event of misconduct, Host institute and AZAR Innovations have the right to remove the participant or the Company from the event, refuse access to subsequent MasterClasses, and take further legal actions.
9.4 AZAR Innovations reserves the right to remove and stop activities of any participant and refuse access to subsequent MasterClasses at any moment if it deems necessary. Reasons for such a decision include but are not limited to causing any hindrance during the MasterClass.
9.5 Parking costs and/or costs of public transport, if applicable, are at the expense of the participant.
9.6 During the MasterClass, AZAR Innovations makes recordings for promotional and marketing purposes. By participating in the MasterClass, participants consent to these recordings.
